It was a stressful week, so Danny and I decided that Red Velvet Cupcakes would make it all better!

Argo helped make the frosting, but got too close to the mixer full of confectioners sugar.

Beginnings of a big boy room

Danny's new bedding for his toddler bed arrived this week, and now I just have to decorate the room to match the new colors and theme. More pictures to come as it goes along!

Happy Mother's Day

It was one hell of a road to Motherhood, but I can honestly say today that every inch of it was worth it-even the really dark moments.
I'm grateful to my mother and Dom's, for all their support and love.
I'm grateful to all the women who loved Danny like a mother while he was in the Reception Center at Holt in Seoul, and I'm beyond grateful to the his young birthmother for having the courage to send him into our lives.
And more than anything, I'm grateful for Dom, who couldn't be here to celebrate with us this year (or last, now that I think about it!). We miss you and we'll hope the third times the charm for these holidays :) Love ya babe!

Someone just discovered the Wiggles Station from Pandora Radio on my iPhone.

I had a fantastic workday today-I had to drive to Camino, CA to pick up a donation to the Archives. It was absolutely beautiful trip. Camino is just east of Placerville, and in the foothills of the Sierras. I could see the mountains for most of the drive, and once I got to Camino, I was in Apple country! We're definitely going to have to take Danny back in the fall. Lots of farm stands, lots of apple trees, and yes, even in a town of less than 500 people, there was a Starbucks! Gotta love California :)

We spent lots of time outside this weekend. It's been great getting to hang out in the backyard and all play together.

The roses are in full bloom, and smell so good!

The neighbors got a puppy a few weeks ago, and everyone is so excited to see him through the fence!

Gotta love the $1.00 bins at the front of Target! Hours of entertainment in the sun!

It was a beautiful sunny weekend, so we spent a lot of time outside. Danny is still loving everything about his sandbox and all it's accoutrement! We had a lot of fun with bubbles and sidewalk chaulk too!
