We have grass! And a TREE! Our backyard is usable now :)

Lately...

We've had a nice summer, if a bit hectic. Dom came home and got a few weeks off to hang out, and then had to go off for some training this month. He should be back in a few weeks, but in the meantime, I'm back to blogging!
Here's a few shots from the last trip to the zoo. We went with friends who have two adorable little girls and Danny loved showing the girls his zoo.

He's HOME!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow is July 1st and that means the countdown is ON!!!! Dom will be home in just a few days and we are so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!! So here's one last self portrait of Danny and I-the next family photo will be a complete family :)

More from the zoo

This oragutan was by far Danny's favorite part of the zoo. We had to check and make sure he was still sleeping every so often, and he insisted on whispering so the monkey didn't wake up!

There is a big wooden orangutan nearby and the only way I could convince Danny to let me take a picture in front of it was to take mine first...
It worked and he let me take the picture, but he's still not too sure about it :)

Back to the zoon

I didn't get to the zoo as often as I wanted to while Dom was gone, but we finally got back there bright and early this morning and Danny had SUCH a good time! He recognizes a lot of the animals now, and was so excited to see the orangutans sleeping. We had to go check on Mr. Orangutan three times before we could leave to make sure he was still asleep.
The baby tiger cub was also out and about, but not good pictures of her I'm afraid-we did come home with a cuddly version of the cub from the gift store though :)
We took lots of pictures, so more to come over the next few days! We can't wait to go back when Daddy gets home!!

Somewhere along the line, my to be read list got a wee bit out of control. There's at least 4 things sitting on my kindle too! Looks like I'll be spending lots of time curled up with a cup of tea and a book this week while I wait for Dom to come home!!!!!!
