The last two days of the drive were pretty brutal, but we made it to California safe and sound last night. Wyoming went on forever, and was really very pretty in a desolate sort of way. It also had a completely random totem pole style statue of Abraham Lincoln on top of a mountain...
Utah is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. The mountains around Salt Lake City reminded me so much of the Alps and Park City was stunning. I think we'll have to go back for a vacation. We set off early yesterday, and by mid-morning had to stop for a flat tire. It happened at the perfect time, though, and we were able to get it patched and get back on the road...but between that and both Danny and Sandy not feeling well, the whole trip took about 13 hours.
We are settled into TLF, and got a chance to see our house today, so we are very excited to be here. Just a few more weeks on base, and then we will be settled permanently!
We miss everyone back east so much!
